Lose control with Nature’s Relief

Interesting Articles, Self-Care

After what felt like the longest and shortest year (simultaneously)… we are finally heading into December for a much-needed break and chance to let loose. There’s no denying that this has been a difficult year for most, some more than others, but everyone has been affected in some way. With festive season approaching, many people are looking forward to unwinding, spending time with loved ones and indulging in a little festive ‘cheer’. Every now and then, it’s great to grant yourself permission to lose control and give into the moment. But we still want to feel healthy and have strength to move into the new year with clarity and our goals firmly in place. So this year, instead of focusing on controlling every aspect of what you eat and drink, why not try to create a healthy balance that allows you to have a bit of fun while also feeling your best! We wanted to look at ways that would allow you to indulge in some much need rest and relaxation this December while still maintaining your energy and keeping your goals in sight.

Start your day on a healthy note

Your nights might be filled with fun, food and family but your mornings should be a time for yourself, to set the tone for your day and practice some mindfulness to clear your head. We’ve said it before, the way you start your day set’s the tone for your entire day, so take time to implement a healthy morning routine. Starting your day with five minutes of meditation time can set a calm tone for your entire day. Meditation can help shift your mind and keep you calm throughout the day. If you struggle to calm your mind; try taking a few drops of Nature’s Relief Calm CBD before you meditate. CBD works by affecting the body’s endocannabinoid system which naturally produces cannabinoids, such as anandamide. This cannabinoid acts upon the body’s CB1 and CB2 receptors and plays a key role in regulating fear and anxiety.

Headache remedy

It’s not uncommon to indulge in a little more alcohol then usual over the festive season. South Africans tend to double their alcohol consumption over December with more Christmas parties and celebrations. In fact, data collected from the World Health Organisation (WHO), shows that South Africa has the fifth highest alcohol consumption rate in the world. We certainly don’t condone alcohol consumption in moderation, but we understand that it’s easier to binge a bit more then usual over the festive period. However, you shouldn’t let a hangover stop you from enjoying some fun daytime activities! We know that Moringa is a powerful antioxidant that fights disease and builds a healthy immune system, but did you know that it can also be used as a hangover remedy? Moringa leaf powder has been shown to take away a hangover in as little as an hour. Moringa will help to settle your stomach and replace essential nutrients and vitamins that you may have lost. We suggest starting your day with a powerful antioxidant smoothie. You can find the recipe on our blog here. If you are struggling to stomach anything in the morning, simply take four Moringa leaf capsules first thing in the morning and you should be feeling fine in no time!

Ease the stress of festive season

Nature’s Relief Calm CBD is also great to take during stressful times. As much as we love our family, we understand that large gatherings with many different characters can lead to some tension. So, before you head out to your big family gathering, take 10 drops of Nature’s Relief CBD Calm to help you calmly smile through the relentless life questions from distant family members.

Liver protection

If you feel that your liver needs some extract protection over December, think about adding a mushroom extract to your monthly supplement intake. Research has found that medicinal mushrooms can help heal the liver and protect it against toxins such as alcohol. Nature’s Relief Reishi tincture can protect the liver’s antioxidant status and reduce liver enzymes. Nature’s Relief Shiitake mushrooms can decrease AST and ALT levels. Shiitake can also decrease. Liver fibrosis which is a common ailment with alcohol abuse. We urge you to protect your liver over this festive season so that you can go into the new year feeling healthy and strong.
